The humble hand fan in its simplest form is a model of the adage form follows function. The fan is nothing more than one or two pieces of cardboard stock glued to a basswood handle. Simple, straightforward, easy to operate, it requires no instructions, and can be made to perform its intended function even by young children.
Really, the hand fan is an example of a perfected technology, the very essence of great design. It's also a green cooling device. Unlike big, bulky machinery, it requires no power source other than human operation. It creates no pollution. It functions dependably, creating a cooling breeze whenever it's waved.
And the relatively large surface area of most hand fans make them an ideal medium for carrying a commemorative, promotional or advertising message.
Custom hand fans are perfect for celebrating special events, advertising a business or marking religious holidays and ceremonies. They're affordable, easy to design and popular.
Church hand fans, for example, are available with many stock printed scenes of faith. Their low cost means they can be ordered in bulk to cool the church picnic or tent revival, and they can even be used inside the church on warm days. Businesses often "sponsor" church fans, providing them free to churches in return for having the business name and contact information printed on the reverse.
Any business or organization sponsoring an outdoor event can promote baseball games, community picnics and gatherings, Fourth of July parades and just about anything else, on a custom hand fan. The fans can feature pictures, a patriotic message, a team schedule or other information. As spectators line up along Main Street for the Independence Day parade, they're sure to appreciate the cooling relief a hand fan can provide on a hot summer day.
Wedding hand fans are popular for outdoor weddings, and as wedding favors for guests. The fans can be imprinted with the happy couple's wedding announcement, favorite Bible verse or poem, even a picture of the bride and groom.
Custom hand fans are a simple tool. But they can carry a powerful message at summer events. HandFans-Direct is your premier source for top quality custom hand fans.
